Javier impressed with players’ technical prowess

National football team’s head coach Javier Cabrera said he is impressed with the technical prowess of the players.

The head coach today (Tuesday) visited Saif Sporting Club as the third team as a part of his visit to the Bangladesh Premier League’s Club to form the national team for the March window.

After watching the training session of the players, Javier, talking to the pressmen at the club premise, said he is fascinated by the players, especially impressed with their technical prowess. He also hoped that through all this he would be able to form a good national team.

The Spanish-born coach said he is very happy to see the training session of Saif SC. The club is very tidy and well developed in terms of infrastructure. The technical team of the club is also good. The players are practicing very well and they are very hard working.

Replying to a question Javier said captain is very important for the team. He (captain) basically works as a connecting ladder between the technical staff and the players. He works to inspire the team and the players.

Commenting about Jamal Bhuiyan, Javier said he is a very good player, the main player of Saif Sporting. Jamal will also have to play an important role in improving the performance of the national team from the front.

Earlier, the head coach visited Abahani Club, BFF’s Elite Academy in Kamalapur and Uttar Baridhara Club as a part of his visit to the premier leagues club.

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will begin from February 3 at seven venues across the country. Before start of the league, the coach will visit all the participating clubs of BPL and see their training session and meet players and officials of the clubs.

BFF’s technical director Paul Thomas Smalley was also with the head coach to see the training session of the players of Saif SC.
