Marcelo will say goodbye to Real Madrid tomorrow

Marcelo’s time at Real Madrid has come to an end. The captain leaves the Santiago Bernabeu this summer after 16 long seasons. Therefore, Real Madrid will hold an official ceremony to pay tribute to the Brazilian and say goodbye to him. The left-back will be able to say goodbye to fans in a press conference this Monday.
Real Madrid have announced in an official statement that they will hold a ceremony to pay tribute to and say goodbye to Marcelo on Monday (13th June) at 13:00 CEST.

Madrid explain on their official website that the ceremony will take place at Real Madrid City and that president Florentino Perez will be present.

The club also report in that statement that Marceo will offer a press conference to the media. That is when he will be able to say goodbye to Madrid fans after 16 long seasons at Madrid.

Therefore, the Brazilian captain, a key figure for Real Madrid fans, puts an end to his time as a Real Madrid player. He says goodbye after a whopping 546 appearances, 38 goals and 93 assists.

A lot has been spoken about the left-back’s new destination in recent days and he could move to Turkish football this summer. Marseille and Fenerbahce have also shown interest in him.

F. would like to announce that tomorrow, Monday 13 June, at 1pm (CEST), there will be an institutional farewell and tribute ceremony for our captain Marcelo at Real Madrid City, which will be presided over by club president Florentino Pérez. After this event, Marcelo will address the media in the press room at Real Madrid City.
