The Italian barber painting England flags on heads

An Italian-Bristolian barber has been creating a new look for young and old in his corner of Bristol – in support of England in the Euros.

Giacomo Licata has been cutting hair in Horfield for 35 years, and brushes the shoulders of Bristol Rovers players and Bristol sporting legends like boxer Lee Haskins.

He also once set a world record for the highest haircut in a hot air balloon.

The window display of his legendary barbers in Filton Avenue boasts that it is ‘where tradition meets trend’, and this summer’s Euro football mania has certainly created a new trend for those coming in for a haircut.

Giacomo and the family-run business are busy providing a new service that doesn’t involve cutting hair so much as painting it.
